The Rutgers Center for Minority Serving Institutions (CMSI) will be hosting its third MSI Aspiring Leaders Forum from Friday, April 29, 2022, to Sunday, May 1, 2022. MSI Aspiring Leaders is a three-day forum and two-year mentoring program that connects prominent Minority Serving Institution (MSI) leaders with mid-career aspiring leaders from the education, non-profit, and business sectors in an effort to prepare the next generation of MSI presidents.

This weekend, the Rutgers Center for Minority Serving Institutions (CMSI) will host a Mid-Program Convening for their MSI Aspiring Leaders program in Philadelphia, PA. The two-day event will take place from Friday, November 19 to Saturday, November 20, and will focus on cohort-building and expanding the leadership skills that Aspiring Leaders have gained so far throughout the two-year program.

The Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute for Leadership, Equity, and Justice (Proctor Institute), Rutgers Center for Minority Serving Institutions (CMSI), and the Institute for Democracy & Higher Education (IDHE) are proud to announce the release of, “The Power of Black Women Student Voters.” This report highlights Black women voting rights advocates and innovators on college campuses -- throughout history and in the present day. It also brings together a portrait of the political experiences of Black women in college through profiles of historically important leaders and events, interview accounts of currently enrolled students, and voting data.

CMSI is proud to announce the release of the report, “Forging a Pathway to Equity in the Professoriate: Lessons from the Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI) Pathways Program”. This report is focused on seeing HSIs as viable pathways to Ph.D. programs in the humanities and the professoriate.
