Having been the 7th president of Dillard University and 12th president of Philander Smith College, he brings ample experience and expertise.

The Rutgers Center for Minority Serving Institutions (CMSI) is proud to announce the release of its latest report, “The Other Black Voter: Analyzing the Political Socialization of Florida’s HBCU Students.” The report illuminates the engagement and perspectives of Black youth voters educated at Florida’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and how they drive meaningful change in American politics.

The Rutgers Center for Minority Serving Institutions (CMSI) will host a Mid-Program Convening for their MSI Aspiring Leaders program in Philadelphia, PA. The two-day event will take place on Friday, March 24 and Saturday, March 25, and will focus on cohort building and broadening the skills that Aspiring Leaders have gained so far throughout the two-year program.

We are delighted to host the program once again and support master’s students who are interested in gaining professional experience, networking with scholars, and learning essential research skills related to equity and leadership in higher education.
