Assistant Director for Communication and Programs

Jacinda Nembhard is the Assistant Director for Communication and Programs for the Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute for Leadership, Equity, and Justice and the Rutgers Center for Minority Serving Institutions. Leading all external and internal communication strategies for the institute and center’s many conferences, webinars, and publications.

She serves on the board of directors for the Public Relations Society of America – New Jersey Chapter; committed to the advancement of the PR and Communication profession. Jacinda is also a copywriter for Black Visionaries (non-profit); committed to empowering Black professionals by providing opportunities for networking, resource distribution, and professional development. Her focus is to help brands lead with purpose and be ingenious in their outreach. Turning every audience interaction, whether through social media or in-person events, into a memorable moment that resonates and lasts.

In her free time, she enjoys baking, building Pinterest boards (e.g., fashion, beauty, baking, etc.), attending museum exhibitions, and traveling with friends.
