Alycia Marshall

Alycia Marshall is the seventh President of the Community College of Philadelphia (CCP), leading with a strong commitment to student success and institutional excellence. 

She previously served as Provost and Vice President of Academic and Student Success, overseeing academic affairs, workforce programs, and student support, and advancing professional learning through faculty and leadership onboarding initiatives.

With more than 25 years of experience in higher education, Marshall began her career at Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) in Maryland, where she was a tenured professor of mathematics, department chair, and associate vice president. She holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from the University of Maryland, College Park, an M.A. in Teaching from Bowie State University, and a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

A nationally recognized leader, Marshall is an Aspen Rising Presidents Fellow and Mathematics Pathways Leadership Fellow. Her honors include the INSIGHT Into Diversity “100 Inspiring Women in STEM Award,” the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists’ President’s Award of Excellence, and the 2026 Carver Rose Award from Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. She has also been named to the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Power 100 and the Edu Ledger’s 2026 class of leading women in higher education.

Marshall founded AACC’s African American Leadership Institute and CCP’s Aspiring Leaders Fellowship Program, both focused on developing future leaders in higher education.
