Juan Morales
Juan J. Morales is the son of an Ecuadorian mother and Puerto Rican father and the award-winning author of four poetry collections, including Dream of the Bird Tattoo and The Handyman’s Guide to End Times. Morales has received creative writing fellowships from CantoMundo, Macondo, Longleaf Writers Conference, and he has served as the editor/publisher of Pilgrimage Press. His poetry has appeared in Verse Daily, The Slowdown Podcast, High Plains Pueblo Radio, Poetry, and other literary journals. He was a Professor of English at Colorado State University Pueblo, where he served as the Department Chair of English and World Languages and the Associate Dean of the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. Morales currently lives in Pueblo, Colorado, occasionally teaches for Lighthouse Writers in Denver, and is an Assistant Professor of English at Colorado College.
