Thomson J. Ling is the Dean of Liberal Arts at the County College of Morris. Guided by a servant-leadership lens and a commitment to shared governance, Ling leverages his extensive experience across both academic affairs and student affairs to drive administrative excellence and faculty growth. He provides strategic oversight across a broad spectrum of disciplines encompassing the arts, humanities, education, languages, music, psychology, and social sciences. Dedicated to institutional quality, he regularly unites campus and community stakeholders to execute strategic plans and expand academic programming. As a champion of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice, his executive leadership includes spearheading institutional antiracism initiatives, delivering professional development workshops, and advising on culturally responsive pedagogy and diverse recruitment. Ling holds a PhD and MA in Counseling Psychology, and a BA in Psychology, from the University of Maryland.
