2026 MSI Aspiring Leader

Je’Nai L Righter is one of the nation’s emerging leaders in Higher Education. Je’Nai’s areas of expertise include workflow systemization and the establishment of equity in institutions' policies, leadership, and operations. Je’Nai focuses on implementing strategies to address campus racial climates and eliminating infrastructure and cultural dynamics that exacerbate stakeholders’ socioemotional, mental, and physiological well-being.

Je’Nai develops and transforms strategic plans into workable solutions. Her visionary insight allows her to weave the threads of organizations into tangible programs and actions. Je’Nai empowers colleagues, teams, and students to pursue purpose through action and holistic evolvement. Righter is a trusted, credible voice with sound authority in transformative and relational leadership. She has been the driver of team and student success at several institutions of higher education, including Neumann University, Immaculata University, University of Sciences, and Lincoln University. Righter currently serves as an Assistant Provost with Thomas Jefferson University.

In addition to Righter’s work in Higher Education, she is the Founder of Positioned, a community for the personal and professional development of faith-forward marketplace leaders. Her leadership philosophy is rooted in authentic engagement, restorative practice, and values-based living, empowering individuals and communities to thrive.

Je’Nai holds a Doctor of Education and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from St. Joseph’s University, and a Bachelor's degree in English from Cheyney University. Her commitment to scholarship was honored in 2022, when she received the Rashford Outstanding Dissertation designation. Above all of these titles and accomplishments, Je’Nai has the honor of being a wife and mother.
