Sarah Ellison

Sarah Ellison is a dedicated higher education leader with a career-long commitment to advancing equity and student success within Minority Serving Institutions. Currently serving as the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs at Sonoma State University, she oversees strategic initiatives that bridge student support, retention, and career readiness for underrepresented student populations. A firm believer in the power of collaborative leadership, Sarah is focused on creating institutional structures that foster belonging and long-term retention. She is honored to join the MSI Aspiring Leaders cohort to further refine her vision for an inclusive, data-informed presidency.
