Kevin Ramirez
Kevin Ramirez is a senior at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) pursuing a B.A. in both History and Central American Studies. During his time at CSUN, he has been awarded the May Bayramian Arts Scholarship for his involvement in academic courses, internships, and demonstrating exceptional work ethic at The Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts. Kevin has also been selected to publish his literary work on immigration issues surrounding American society in La Ceiba: The Undergraduate Journal of Central American Studies. His research interests include the Central American Diaspora, the Central American Revolutionary Era, oral history, and migration history. He is currently exploring research related to the Salvadoran Civil War (1980-1992) and the immigration of unaccompanied minor soldiers. He is currently an active member of various clubs and organizations on campus, including CSUN Men's Soccer Club, Central American United Students Association, and The Soraya S.P.A.C.E. In his free time, Kevin loves to spend time with his family and play soccer. He is a fanatic of sports, super heroes, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Game of Thrones.
