Bryant Martinez
Bryant Martinez is a fourth year English Subject Matter and Chicanx Studies major at California State University, Northridge who seeks a Ph.D. in English to further his education. Growing up in Paramount, California under a single parent household he was heavily involved in the street and gang life of Los Angeles which ultimately led him back to education. Since arriving to California State University, Northridge, he has been involved on campus through various clubs and organizations including but not limited to the Hip Hop Culture Club, Revolutionary Scholars, and the Central American United Student Association. Moreover, he served as the Judicial Director for the United Fraternity Sorority Council during the Fall 2018- Spring 2019 academic year and was also the president of the Greek-lettered organization, Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Incorporated for the past two years. Bryant currently works thirty hours a week for the Los Angeles Unified School District as an Emotional Disorder Assistant at Northridge Middle School. When he is not studying, working, or involved on campus he likes to write and perform poetry, play basketball and hackiesack, and visit museums and galleries.
