David Shabazz

David Shabazz is an Associate Professor of Journalism and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Kentucky State University in Frankfort, KY. He is a 1991 graduate of Benedict College and holds advanced degrees from the University of South Carolina, Wake Forest University, and a Ph.D. from Regent University. In 2019, he was named Educator of the Year by the Kentucky Communication Association. He was also the 4-Year Broadcast Adviser of the Year in 2020 from the College Media Association.
