Cristiano Eduardo Rodrigues Reis

Cristiano E. R. Reis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Howard University’s College of Engineering and Architecture. His research integrates bioprocess engineering, reactor and process systems modeling, and sustainability assessment to accelerate scalable pathways for biologically-derived fuels and chemicals. Current projects span methane valorization, techno-economic analysis (TEA), and life cycle assessment (LCA) of bioindustrial systems. At Howard, Reis teaches senior process design, mentoring multidisciplinary teams to translate design basis, safety, operability, and sustainability constraints into defensible engineering decisions.
