Tamara Massay-Trotz

Tamara N. Massay-Trotz is a distinguished higher education professional deeply dedicated to empowering first-generation, low-income students of color. A double alumna of Rutgers University-Newark, she also holds a degree from Saint Peter’s University. With over a decade of experience in federal TRIO programs, Dr. Massay-Trotz has spent her career championing underrepresented students and developing educational strategies that foster leadership, creativity, and academic achievement.
As the Director of Student Success at Bloomfield College of Montclair State University, Massay-Trotz is at a pivotal stage in her career, focusing on advancing institutional development to ensure all students, especially those from underserved communities, have the resources and support to thrive. Her work is driven by a steadfast commitment to creating inclusive educational environments where every student, stakeholder, staff, and faculty can reach their full potential.
