Michael McIntosh
Michael Lorenzo McIntosh is an Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership at Virginia State University. He received his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s School of Education. His research interests include: Utilizing Equity-based interventions and Social Justice Activism to insure better outcomes for marginalized students and developing a Social Justice Framework within Educational Leadership Preparation Programs. Michael has presented his research at major conferences that target higher education researchers in addition to educational leadership practitioners, including the American Educational Research Association, International Council of Professors of Educational Leadership, the Institute for Educational Administration & Leadership, the National Association of Secondary School Principals and the National Alliance of Black School Educators. He was recently selected as a Fulbright Program Specialist by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and World Learning. His current articles appear in the Journal of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, the Journal of Applied Business and Economics, and other national journals and publications.
