Lissette Chavez

Lissette Chavez is a first-generation college student pursuing a B.A. in Anthropology at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). She is currently conducting independent research on Western K-Pop fans' relationship with a culturally and linguistically distant fan object. She is particularly interested in ritualistic folk practices and how they impact interpersonal relationships. Her research interests include folklore of fan culture, semiotics, identity, and transnational pop culture.
