Levon T. Esters

Senior Research Associate

Levon T. Esters is a Senior Research Associate at the Rutgers Center for Minority Serving Institutions and an Associate Professor in the Department of Youth Development and Agricultural Education at Purdue University. He earned his B.S. in Agricultural Business from Florida A&M University, his M.S. in Agricultural Education from North Carolina A&T State University, and his Ph.D. in Agricultural and Extension Education from The Pennsylvania State University. 

Levon also serves as the Director of the Mentoring@Purdue (M@P) program, which is designed to increase the number of women and underrepresented minorities receiving advanced postsecondary STEM-based agricultural and life sciences degrees in Purdue University’s College of Agriculture
