Joshua Spivey

Joshua Spivey is a sixth-year educator, serving as adjunct faculty at Virginia Union University and a Success, Outreach, and Retention Coordinator in the Department of Communications at Frederick Community College. Well educated, Joshua earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Bowie State University, 2013, and a Master of Science degree in Media Management from The New School, 2015. Currently, he is pursuing a doctorate in the Urban Educational Leadership (Ed.D.) program at Morgan State University.  Joshua served in the United States Air Force, stationed at Yokota Air Base and Fairchild Air Force Base, before his educational pursuits. He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Joshua believes that students that have educators who have had similar experiences have a better chance of achieving academic milestones.
