Joshua Rollins

Joshua Rollins is an undergraduate student at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and is pursuing a B.A. in History with a minor in Secondary Education. Josh, a National Hispanic Merit Scholar, is a recipient of the Wells Fargo Presidential Scholarship and is a part of the Liberal Arts Honors Program at the university. He currently works as an art tutor with the Miner Learning Center and enjoys being able to assist first-year students at UTEP. His research interests include the social history of the Progressive Era and the implications that it had on the Southwestern region of the United States. He is currently working on research pertaining to early education in El Paso, Texas during the late 19th and early 20th centuries and hopes to bring to light the role that El Paso played as a pioneer in public education within the state of Texas. Josh seeks to one day become a history professor.
