Jose R. Gonzalez

Jose R. Gonzalez is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in history in conjunction with a certificate in Latin American Studies at Florida International University (FIU). His historical research focuses on Latin American and Caribbean history as well as the history of law. In the fall of 2017, Jose, along with four other students, founded the FIU chapter of Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA).

Jose is currently a senior paralegal at a boutique law firm in which he assists the senior attorney in preparing cases for trial in County, Civil and Federal courts. In July of 2019, Jose will experience being a father for the first time, by welcoming his daughter Abigail.
