Jonathan D. Gomez

Jonathan D. Gomez is Chair and Associate Professor of Chicana and Chicano Studies at San José State University. He directs the Ethnic Studies Collaborative and leads the Culture Counts Reading Series, using poetry and storytelling to accompany San José communities in advocating for social justice and claiming dignity. His research and teaching explore race, ethnicity, space, and the intersections of Chicanx cultural expression, education, and social movements.
