Jennifer M. Johnson
Jennifer M. Johnson is an assistant professor of higher education in the Department of Policy, Organizational and Leadership Studies at Temple University. Since 2004, Jennifer has been an active scholar-practitioner in the fields of college access and student retention. Her research areas include pre-college access programs, historically Black colleges and universities, students in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), and high-achieving students of color. She has presented at several national conferences including the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE) and the American Educational Research Association (AERA). Jennifer holds a B.S. degree in Biology and Psychology from Syracuse University, a M.Ed in Elementary Education from Chestnut Hill College, and a M.S.Ed. in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Maryland, College Park.
