Dionne Miller
Dionne Miller is the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, at LaGuardia Community College. Dionne administers all curriculum matters for the college including course and program revisions, new course and program development, and the negotiation of articulation (transfer) agreements. She also oversees the college’s dual enrollment programs and related programs, including the Early College Initiative, College Now, The City University of New York (CUNY) Explorers, Future Ready NYC, and the Liberty Partnership program. Her portfolio also includes the Office of Credit for Prior Learning and the Office of Global and Experiential Learning, in addition to providing oversight for the Honors program and Learning Communities. She also serves as the program director of the Liberal Arts major. She leads the college’s efforts to develop apprenticeship programs with employers through the New York Jobs CEO Council and collaborates with the Adult and Continuing Education (ACE) division to develop certificate to credit transfer agreements.
Prior to joining the administration of Academic Affairs, she served as chairperson of the Natural Sciences department and is a professor of Chemistry. She holds a Doctorate in Chemistry from the CUNY Graduate Center, and postgraduate diplomas in Management Studies (University of the West Indies) and Technical Education (University of Technology, Jamaica).
