Christy Ponce

Dr. Ponce serves as the Executive Director for Foundation & Development at El Paso Community College, an MSI and HSI college ranked #1 in the nation for awarding associates degrees to Hispanic students, #16 for overall associates degrees awarded. 

Dr. Ponce has years of experiences in Instruction, Student Services, and Resource Development.  Prior to working at EPCC, Dr. Ponce worked at Austin Community College for five years with Early College Start.  She also has experience working in the University setting where she previously served in the Dean of Students office and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Educational Administration at UT Austin.

She is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin where she earned a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the Community College Leadership Program and a Bachelor’s in Education.  She also earned a Masters Degree in Political Science and minor in Legal Studies from Texas State University.
