Celia Velazquez

Celia Velazquez is an undergraduate at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). She completed an A.A. in English at Antelope Valley College and will be earning a B.A. in English from CSUN in May 2019. Celia is currently working on a research project, with the guidance of her faculty mentor, Colleen Tripp, examining Afrofuturism in the book, Of One Blood, by Pauling Hopkins. Her research interests include popular minority women’s literature of the late 19th century, magazine and print culture, popular genres, women’s studies, and gender and sexuality.
