Andres Colmenares

Andres Colmenares is currently pursuing a degree in English at Miami-Dade College. Born in Miami, Florida to Venezuelan parents, Andres enjoys writing, reading, photography, baseball, and playing video games. He is honored to be a Frederick Douglass Global Fellow and hopes the fellowship will provide him with the opportunity to improve his leadership and communication skills. This will be Andres’ first time outside of the United States and he is excited to engage with different people from various backgrounds and cultures.
