Alejandro Prado

Alejandro Prado (he/him) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chicana/o Studies, where he brings expertise in humanist social science. His work aims to internationalize the discipline of Chicanx Studies by engaging more broadly with global capitalism, focusing on the direct and indirect connections between Southern California Chicanx/Latinx people and China. Prado received his PhD in Chicana/o Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his BA in Anthropology and Chicana/o Studies at the University of California, Riverside. In the 2022-2023 academic year, he served as a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in the Latin American and Latino Studies Research Center at the University of California, Riverside.
