Steve Delgado

Steve Delgado is the Chief Development Officer at Homeboy Industries where he oversees development, marketing and communications, media relations and the Global Homeboy Network for the internationally recognized gang prevention, rehab and reentry non-profit organization. Prior to working at Homeboy Industries, Steve spent eight years at Whittier College, most recently serving as Vice President for Advancement from 2015- 2018.  During his tenure at the College, he led Whittier to all-time highs in its number of yearly leadership donors, alumni participation, and the annual fund. Steve successfully oversaw the largest single project campaign in the College’s history for the renewal of Whittier’s Science and Learning Center raising over $26 million; and other significant campaigns impacting every area of the college. Steve also led Whittier’s first marketing study in more than ten years, and subsequent enrollment focused re-branding initiatives that contributed to the largest consecutive first-year classes in its history.  Prior to his appointment as Vice President, Steve served as Director of Development & Alumni Programs at Whittier College. Steve earned his M.B.A. from the Darden School at the University of Virginia and bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
