Shetay Ashford-Hanserd

Shetay Ashford-Hanserd is chair and associate professor in the Department of Organization, Workforce, and Leadership Studies at Texas State University. Since 2016, she has served as a principal or co-principal investigator of federally funded research projects funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and U.S. Department of Agriculture yielding nearly $8M. Currently, she serves as principal investigator of the Association of Collaborative Communities Ensuring Equity for Youth's STEM Success (ACCEYSS) Consortium, which is one of two Collaborative Change Consortia in the nation funded by NSF's Eddie Bernice Johnson Inclusion across the Nation of Communities of Learners of Underrepresented Discoverers in Engineering and Science (INCLUDES) program. Recently, she was recognized as an early NSF CAREER scholar for her research on broadening participation of Black and Hispanic women in the P-20 STEM+C workforce pipeline.
