Sergio Gonzalez

Sergio Gonzalez is a Research Associate at the Rutgers Center for Minority Serving Institutions and the Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute for Leadership, Equity, and Justice. Sergio is also a Ph.D. student in the School of Educational Studies Program at Claremont Graduate University (CGU). He earned his M.Ed in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs from the University of Southern California (USC) and his B.A. in Communication Studies from Manhattanville College. Prior to his return to education, Sergio worked at College Track as a College Success Fellow, where he advised and supported students from marginalized communities as they transitioned from high school and into college. His research interests focus around education equity, social justice, undocumented/DACAmented students and Queer Latinx students in higher education.
