Luis García González

Luis Felipe García González is an undergraduate senior pursuing a B.A. in English and American Literature with a minor in History at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). His areas of interest include epistemology as applied to literary criticism, Gothic Literature, and 18th and 19th century literature. Luis works at the Student Support Services Program at UTEP as an English Tutor and Peer Mentor, providing mentoring and tutoring services for first-generation college students. 

Prior to this, he worked as a freelancer translator for the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM) reviewing and editing scholarly articles and textbooks for the institution’s College of Marketing.  He actively participates in volunteer organizations including UTEP Edge and Project Move. As a student of the written arts, he plans to pursue a Ph.D. and produce quality research in academia.
