Curtis Proctor

    Curtis Proctor serves as the Director of Development for the Dwayne O. Andreas School of
    Law at Barry University, where he is responsible for leading the Office of Development in
    securing restricted and unrestricted resources to ‘Create a Culture of Philanthropy.’ As the chief
    advancement officer for the college, he leads fundraising efforts to identify, cultivate, steward,
    and secure relationships with community and corporate partners.

    Curtis has over ten years of fundraising experience within the nonprofit and higher
    education sector. During his career, he has built a reputation for organizational excellence,
    innovative strategic thinking, working with the highest level of integrity, and a deep and
    passionate commitment to empowering others.

    As a first-generation college student, Curtis attended the University of Central Florida,
    earning three degrees, a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training, a Master of Arts in Educational
    Leadership K-12, and an Educational Doctorate in Higher Education and Policy Studies. He
    earned his Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) credentials in 2017.

    Before joining Barry University School of Law, he served as the Director of
    Advancement for the College of Community Innovation and Education at the University of
    Central Florida. In addition to serving as a fundraising officer, Curtis is an adjunct professor
    in the UCF School of Public Administration Non-Profit Management Program, teaching courses
    in fundraising, volunteer management, and nonprofit administration. He has spent multiple
    years as a faculty member at Bethune-Cookman University and Orange and Volusia County
    Public Schools.

    The combination of his teaching and development experience informs his desire to make
    Higher Education accessible for all and reaffirms his commitment to the fundraising efforts that
    make this possible.

    Curtis and his wife, Zonovia, are the proud parents of three children, Hope, Carter, and
    Zoe.
