Chelsea Colon

Chelsea Colon is a fourth year student at Florida International University pursuing a B.A. in English Literature. Her interdisciplinary  interests consists of 18th-century, early gothic and romantic literature with focuses on queer, feminist, and disability theory. Delving into some notable works (and recommended reads) such as Matthew Lewis’ The Monk, Chelsea attempts to note the construction and destructiveness of binaries and gender roles throughout early British gothic literature. Outside of academia, Chelsea maintains her proud five year Barista position at Starbucks Coffee Co. and in her downtime, she spends time with her cat and reads books.
